Elizabeth Kouhi
6 X 9 inches, 88 pages
Penumbra Press Poetry Series, No. 60The poems of this octogenarian, collected since the mid-80s, are inspired by nature, especially of northwestern Ontario, and memories of places, people, and happenings. Elizabeth Kouhi considers herself the very embodiment of the proverbial Jenny-come-lately. Her first novel was published at fifty-nine, followed by four more novels for children, two picture books and three books of poetry. Most of this happened in her 60s, 70s, and 80s.
