Since our last posting, we are pleased to announce that The Story of the “I’m Alone” has garnered another First Place Award in the film festival competitions, bringing our total awards to two first place wins (Toronto Independent Film Festival and Canada Shorts: Canadian& International Short Film Fest); four semi-finalist placements; one nominee; and thirteen screen selections. In addition, we are proud to announce that the video is scheduled for broadcasting in its entirety on Season Six of Reel East Coast available on CBC Gem. Here’s a link to the schedule.
We have also learned that one of our books for young children, Do I Have to Go to Sleep? written by Carole Giangrande and illustrated by Judi Pennanen, has been selected as ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS FOR KIDS & TEENS by the Canadian Children’s Book Centre. Here’s a peek at Carole reading from the book …
In case you missed it, our weekly Book Bundle combo features memoirs by Arthur and Sheila Menzies, one a play-by-play account of Canada’s role during the Cold War, and the other an account of Canada’s High Commissioner to Australia and the South Pacific from 1965 to 1972.
